I enjoy everything that's "Wild West" — the bandits, brothels, boomtowns, and buckskin. And don't forget the broncos & buffalo! Or the buttes, bluffs, and badlands!
That's me — Nevada Gulch — pictured above at the Skyline Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. More accurately, the Skyline is in Henderson, NV, about 13 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. But culturally, if not geographically, it’s still VEGAS, baby!
👉 I can't get enough of the magical history of those 30 years from about 1865 to 1895, the era we call the "Wild West." And we mustn't forget the grandeur of the land on which the Wild West story unfolded, so that is here, too.

I couldn't resist including an image of Gunsmoke's Miss Kitty, proprietress of the Long Branch Saloon, portrayed by Amanda Blake. It was she who sparked my lifelong love of the Wild West.
